The In Between is a documentation of my remaining time in New York- a period quickly coming to a close. This is an examination of how knowing an end approaching has affected my relationships. It’s an acknowledgement of how I have changed, and how intimacy has always colored my work. This series is a love letter- a time capsule of pleasure, apology, and the in-between space before things shift. I began the project in the beginning of June with the intention of documenting the summer in Brooklyn. Shifting my photography to this intimate subject matter of my personal life has been incredibly difficult, but I’ve realized that seeing my loved ones in my work is gratifying for me. Here is this honest attempt at capturing the changing of relationships- something hard to acknowledge, but beautiful to look back at.
